Flourish is owned and operated by school psychologist Dr. Devan C. Greene. She earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Psychology degree from American International College in 2015. She has over twenty years of experience as an educator in Western Massachusetts. The last eight years of experience included providing psychological assessments in both urban and suburban settings. Cognitive, achievement, and social-emotional assessments are a specialty. Assessments are administered in both English and Spanish.

Her role as a school psychologist provided opportunities for her gain experience with the following:

• • Complete psychological-educational evaluations consisting of assessment of intellectual capacity, learning style, academic achievement, social/emotional functioning for any student referred through the special education process.
  • Complete all assessments, reports and associated documents within the regulatory timelines in accordance with state and federal mandates pertaining to special education.
  • Participate in all Team Meetings when appropriate; contribute to the determination of eligibility for special education services or other appropriate educational plans.
  • Consult to special education team on student related concerns when appropriate.
  • Complete any and all paper work and data entry required to maintain compliance with special education requirements.
  • Provide parent/guardian with an opportunity to discuss assessment results separate from the Team meeting when requested.
  • Understand and maintain confidential treatment of all information related to a student and his/her program.

Dr. Greene is certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
